I was stationed at the Coast Guard Base that was directly across the street from the North End and I use to walk through the North End quite often. There was an Italian restaurant at the far end of Hanover Street that made the most delicious pizza 🍕 😋 that I'd occasionally get. I got discharged from the Coast Guard in 1985 and made my way back to my native LA California and I haven't been back since. But I'm planning to soon enough. I imagine it looks a lot different. Can't wait to find out.

I'm British/Italian born in Manchester's Iittle Italy Ancoats. I can relate to everything our Italian/American brothers and sisters say in this wonderful clip. It brought a tear to my eye thinking back to my childhood. We were brought up no different to you guys in the States. I'm from Toledo Oh, Not much of a Italian pop here, mostly eastern Europe..Hungry, Poland, Germany, Decent amount of Arab an Latino's, along with some Greek's as well, pretty much make up most of the Summer Ethnic Festival's, which are pretty damn good..The Italian's I'm pretty sure use to have one, but now i know of only a rather small Italia American club Downtown..I have relatives by marriage that are Italian, two first cousins are half..An man can my aunt cook, her Sister's as well..Obviously, that's no surprise!! So being a Life long Red Sox fan, i had been to Fenway several times, the last time was with my Daughter in 15 or 16 can't remember exactly..But I had a friend from school staying there, an he took us to the North End for Italian food..UNREAL!! my mouth is watering on my keyboard thinking about it!! The historic aspect is excellent as well..If you ever get the chance GO!! you will not regret it..I promise
